I consider myself to be a pretty tolerant guy,as far as animals go,but things are reaching critical mass around here.....3 cats,a dog(who actually looks like a cross between a werewolf and a chicken),a hamster,and a fish.....and if the dames in my life had their way,we'd have our very own zoo here-I'm awaiting retirement from the army one of these days(see previous article),and all I hear is,"daddy,when you retire,can we get a A. horse B.pot bellied pig C.ferret D.another dog E.a monkey F. the entire contents of the Dallas zoo.......and they WONDER why I drink......then last night,household 6 had to "rescue" a baby bird that was stranded on our back lawn-well,I put my foot down-we are NOT taking in that bird-so,she captured it on a broom,and returned it to the tree from whence it came.But,nature triumphed Samuel T. Cat had a NICE little breakfast of young birdie today

Well,as you all know,I got evacked from Iraq on 27 May,and got stranded in Germany for 2 weeks(that really broke my heart).....yeah RIGHT!Anyway,I made it back stateside on 10 June,and now I'm undergoing a medical evaluation board,to see wether they'll keep me on active duty,or put me out to pasture....not quite ready to ride off into the sunset just yet-think I gots a few years of soldiering left in me-but I'll have to wait and see what happens.Indications ARE good that they'll keep me though-I'm broke,but not broke ENOUGH to totally get rid of just yet,anyway.The wife and cubs and yours truly are hoping that cavalry branch will send me back to Fort Knox,where I can be a tradoc bitch again-my combat days are over,but I think I kin still contribute to the army for a few more years,in a reduced capacity.Anyway,time will tell,and I'll let you all know what happens

Well,here is my latest stumbling trip through the blogosphere....I've made a few halfhearted attemps to create a halfway decent blog,with mixed results-but its a work in progress,and a growing and learning experience.My blogging was interrupted by a 6 month trip to lovely downtown Baghdad,but I'm back in the world now,and can devote enough time to this to make it halfway coherent.I'll try to post something daily,or close to daily,and will try to cover a wide range of topics,from politics,to goofy things,to my military experiences,and just my thoughts on things.My wife "household 6"(military guys will get that one) will be adding her 2 cents worth from time to time,and might include goofy things from my kids(they don't have issues,they have full subscriptions),and anything else I think of.
