I just got back from Fort Knox last night,after having my medical re-evaluation,and the doc is reccommending me to return to active duty.

It sure felt like I was back "home",just BEING on an army installation,if only for a day.I don't do civilian life well,so maybe this is for the best.The family is excited,and they want to return to Fort Knox,as soon as possible.I just wish I'd had time to look up some of the guys at my old unit,and hoist a few beers with them,in memory of our fallen comrades-but,hopefully I'll be seeing them all soon

a while back,I stumbled across this site,for swapping used books,videos,DVDs,software etc.I've done a few swaps so far-its pretty nifty.It costs $2.13 to mail the average book-beats $7.95 for a new one.....and we get to "recycle" our used stuff.In fact,I found a video I literally had'nt seen in over 20 years-"Cross of Iron",about a German sergeant on the eastern front-I got it QUICKLY-before someone ELSE snagged it up.If you've got excess books or movies to pass along to someone else at a fraction of the price of new ones,this is a good site.

I was headed to work monday,and got to Green Bay,and got onto to the freeway to shoot over to the east side of town where I work,and was on the offramp coming on to I-43,which takes me there.Suddenly,my tranny blew-ON the off ramp-with no shoulder.Gee,THIS really sucks donkey balls.......well,I was able to coax it along for about another half a mile or so and get off the road,and call the wife.She came and got me and we cleaned out the car and EVENTUALLY found a salvage guy who would take it.I got 60 clams for it,but oh well.We knew the tranny was going,but could've WAITED another month or two.Well,could've been much worse-the LAST time I was stranded on the freeway,I was SHOOTING at people,after my truck got blown up by an IED in Taji,Iraq......or,I could have been stuck in sub zero temps waiting.So,all in all,it was'nt THAT bad.I'll drink heavily tonight and drown my sorrows
